Ito Game Online — Free, One Phone, No App

One phone for the whole table. No room code, no sign-up, no app to install. Most online versions need a room code and a phone for every player; here you just pass one phone around to deal secret numbers, then play together in the same room.

New to ito? How to play in 30 seconds
  1. Everyone gets a secret number from 1 to 100. Pass the phone and look only at your own.
  2. Describe how big your number is with a thing or a word that fits the topic. Example: topic “Size of animals” and you have 85 → “an elephant.” Never say the number.
  3. Talk it over and line up from lowest to highest. If every card is in order at the reveal, you all win.

How to play with this tool

The core idea of ito is to describe a secret number through a topic, without saying the number itself, and work together to arrange every card from low to high. This tool turns that idea into a simple one-round game on one phone.

  1. Put the Zero card in the middle of the table. This tool shows it for you.
  2. Every player secretly gets a number from 1 to 100.
  3. Choose a category, then draw a topic.
  4. Each player gives a hint that matches the topic at the level of their number. Numbers, values and quantities are not allowed.
  5. Talk it over, then arrange everyone in a row from the Zero card, lowest to highest.
  6. Reveal one by one. If the whole row is in order, you win together.

If every card is in order, the group wins this round. If the order breaks, the round fails and you can reveal the remaining cards. The published game has additional components and modes that this tool does not reproduce.

The published game includes two ways to raise the difficulty once your group wins.

  • Challenge Mode — each player holds two number cards and has to give a hint for both.
  • Extreme Mode — keep adding cards, but stop marking which card is yours.

This tool deals one number per player, so those modes need the physical game.
